FAQ - Transition to ACC
I have a PlanGrid/BIM 360 subscription. How do I switch to Build?
If you have a PlanGrid/BIM 360 license you have access included to Autodesk Build. The best approach for transitioning is to start new projects in Build. We recommend taking advantage of the following free learning resources to help you get started and navigate the transition smoothly.
Is there an easy way to transfer existing projects and data from PlanGrid/BIM 360 to ACC?
There are several options to transfer data from PlanGrid/BIM 360 to ACC and it depends on what level of data you want to transfer, and your timeline needs. Autodesk is currently developing a native solution to help with this migration; however, it is not currently available. Please reach out to your account representative if you want to discuss migration options.
How should we manage the transition while we are still midway through a project that is years away from being completed?
The advice now is to continue your current project within PlanGrid/BIM 360. If there is a need to transition mid project, please reach out to your account representative to discuss options. If your teams are ready to start exploring Autodesk Build, we suggest starting net new projects, or pilot projects, in Autodesk Build first.
When will migration solutions be live?
The timeline for migration solutions has yet to be determined. Our recommendation is not to be concerned with transferring data at this time. Instead, consider using Autodesk Build for new projects. Once the migration solutions become available, you can then plan to migrate your data.
Is there an intent to eventually phase out PlanGrid/BIM 360 from Autodesk?
At this time, there are no set plans to end PlanGrid/BIM 360. However, we are focusing more on the future development of Autodesk Construction Cloud, not PlanGrid/BIM 360.
